Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of RDProject / ReduceProject ("RDProject", "we", "us", or "the Service"), including features that integrate with Google Drive, YouTube Data API v3 / YouTube API Services, Obsidian, and other supported services.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service or authorize it to access your accounts or data.

1. Service description

RDProject provides productivity, content-management, synchronization, import/export, automation, and integration functionality. Available features may interact with third-party services only when the user enables the relevant integration and grants the permissions required for that feature.

2. Accounts and authorization

You are responsible for the accounts you connect to RDProject and for maintaining the security of your devices and credentials. RDProject will request Google OAuth permissions only for functionality that requires those permissions. The permissions requested by Google are displayed before you authorize access.

You may revoke Google authorization at any time through your Google Account settings. Revoking access can disable related RDProject features.

3. Google Drive

Features that connect to Google Drive may read, create, modify, move, export, synchronize, or delete files or metadata only within the functionality made available by RDProject and the permissions that you authorize. You remain responsible for reviewing actions that affect your Drive content and for maintaining any backups you consider necessary.

Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's applicable terms, policies, and account rules.

4. YouTube API Services

RDProject uses YouTube API Services. By using RDProject features that access or interact with YouTube API Services, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

You must not use RDProject to perform YouTube actions that violate the YouTube Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, API Services Terms of Service, Developer Policies, copyright law, privacy rights, or other applicable requirements.

Actions that create, update, upload, publish, or delete YouTube resources must be initiated or authorized by the user through the relevant RDProject functionality. You are responsible for the content you choose to publish or modify.

5. Obsidian and local files

Where RDProject integrates with Obsidian or local files, you are responsible for selecting the vaults, notes, files, or directories made available to the integration. You should keep appropriate backups before enabling automation or synchronization that can modify local content.

Obsidian is a third-party product with its own terms and policies. References to Obsidian or other third-party products do not by themselves imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of content you own. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your Google Drive files, YouTube content, Obsidian notes, or other user content to RDProject.

You grant RDProject only the limited rights necessary to process your content to provide the feature you request, such as transmitting data to a connected service, transforming a file, synchronizing content, or completing another user-initiated operation.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use RDProject to:

violate applicable laws, regulations, third-party rights, or service-provider policies;
access accounts, files, channels, or data without authorization;
distribute malware, spam, abusive content, or deceptive material;
circumvent quotas, access controls, security measures, or API limitations;
misrepresent RDProject, Google, YouTube, Obsidian, or another party;
use the Service in a way that could damage, overload, disrupt, or compromise RDProject or a connected third-party service.

8. Privacy and Google user data

Our handling of personal information and Google user data is described in the RDProject Privacy Policy. Use of information received from Google Workspace APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.

9. Third-party services

RDProject depends on services and APIs operated by third parties. Those providers may change, restrict, suspend, deprecate, or discontinue functionality independently of RDProject. Your use of a third-party service remains subject to that provider's terms, privacy policy, quotas, technical limits, and account rules.

RDProject is not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, account restrictions, data loss caused by a third-party service, or actions taken by a third-party provider.

10. Changes to the Service

We may add, change, limit, suspend, or remove Service features when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, API changes, or product development. We may also stop supporting an integration when continued operation is not technically or legally practical.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using RDProject at any time and may revoke connected-account permissions. We may restrict or terminate access when necessary to address abuse, security threats, legal requirements, violations of these Terms, or violations of applicable third-party API policies.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. RDProject does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every third-party service version, or preservation of data that remains under the control of a third-party provider or the user's local environment.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RDProject is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service, loss of access, third-party service changes, or user-authorized modifications to content. Mandatory rights and liabilities that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to RDProject, applicable law, or third-party API requirements. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the current version. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
